Hi Terry

I do go fishing and have done for 30 years but i,m a general course fishing guy and hardly go at the minute :(

It does seem a strange post on that forum .......is it to get Anglers to keep visiting the lake even though the carp is dead ?

it's either someone with a sense of humor or an axe to grind. :dunno:

no wonder if your rained off at home and can't lay turf, you could go fishing but stay in the dry at watching day time tv jeremy kyle no less, sorry couldn't resist...

fishing is fishing it's all good, I mostly carp fish these days but I have done a lot of general fishing in the past and will do again I'm sure.... :beers:

You may very well go with the intention of carp fishing but what you mostly seem to catch is bream. Or nothing.

I know someone who caught it a few years or so ago. He seems to think it's dead. I know her spawn has turned out quite a few beauties for the future and that they will be stocked back into the Mere when they're big enough. :)
