Re: Trying to do it right first time
Got an extra air valve so I can divert it away from the bottom drain and send it to the Eazypod:

Flushed the Tempest a few times. Left it too long so couldn't flush it properly so I had to take the lid off and jiggle it about a bit. Now flushing it daily to make sure it stays clean. Lots of worms in there too:

Also got all the top pieces measured and cut. Took them all off again now to sand and treat before I put them on for good.

You may also notice the waterblade is missing. It was tilting back slightly so water was running along the underside and wetting the wood. Attempting a silicone bead to stop it

Re: Trying to do it right first time
Well the state of the wood is not my fault it was already like that. The grey pipework is existing and I added the white T, valve and then elbow to divert the water to a new outside tap.

Put the tap outside and bought lots of fittings from 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4 BSP to 10mm pipe for my trickle system. I bought a double tap but unfortunately the BSP to push fit fitting would only fit on the one its on which is a shame as I would have looked better and neater the other way round.

I am still waiting for a needle valve to control it better but I have tried the digital flow meter and its seems fine. I am interested to see if its copes with the weather but I will try and protect it from the rain.

This will all be getting run in properly and mounted once my clips arrive and I start the Pergola

So I covered all the top ledge both top and bottom, two coats on the top and then screwed it all into place:

Your build looks amazing! Congratulations. Can I ask what the size of the top boards are? Just ordering all my parts bits and bobs for my build and like the look of your top boards

Re: Trying to do it right first time
Finished the trickle in system now too. I used some of the left over 8x2 which will also be used as part of the pergola structure.

The white chalk line is where the upright will go.
