Once again not much worth watching on the box last night, so cans on tune into You tube music, a few glasses of Damson and Elderberry wine, and came across a video of the John Coglan diesel band doing a concert at the old Marquee in Wardour street, seems he had them all guesting for him , Parfitt and co plus many more, there was at least 5 guitars c going at one time plus Coggie on the drums, , brought back many memories of Quo and the Marquee as they bashed out 'Johnny be good', a real rock and roll performance, shame Rick's no longer with us Quo don't seem the same without him, long live live music.

  Been dragged to the 'Flicks' by my wife, she's been on about getting out more and seeing the film 'Bohemian Rhapsody', arrived at the local flea pit along with 6 other blue rinsers, sat in a most uncomfortable seat and took out my hearing aids, the sound was set at maximum and we all flinched as it burst into life , the music from Queen was evocative and took us both back to our early days, foot tappers and sing along, the story line I found was a little on the sad side, and should have given more time and energy to all the band members, but Mercury was always going to be the lead item, the music was top notch and we have dug out the vinyls from that era, if you get a chance to see it, do so, but be warned the wigs come from Woolworth's and it shows, 'long live Rock and Roll'.

   Digging through our pile of Vinyl for original versions of Simon and Garfunkel, had the joy of seeing the Simon and Garfunkel story live on stage at the Hornchurch Queens theatre on Sunday, a preset to my wife from our youngest son for her 70th birthday, two (Crick in the neck) seats front and centre, what a performance, brilliant performance on tour from the West End stage, and world tour, really taken back to our early years as they sang and played all the well known and lesser known tracks, full house audience blown away by a superb performance, made all the better by a group of special needs people who had no inhibitions and danced and sung along with gusto, checked them out on U-tube just like being back there, foot tapping hand slapping great music well worth seeing if it comes your way.
