PhotoBucket now charges $399 for third-party hosted images
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/06/30 ... party_pgs/
If you are currently using Photobucket to post images here please find an alternative, such as Flickr or Imgur.
 | note: the content in this box was edited after the post was made. You could still use Photobucket and post links to your images rather than embedding them but those of us who use adblockers will not be able to see them. I will be disabling all links to Photofucket at some point so please don't post links to it either. |

I know. What were useful old posts on thousands of forums are going to be filled with useless 'nag' images. Photobucket have deliberately vandalised the interweb in an attempt to extort money from their users. If they hadn't been so greedy and had given some warning, maybe some people would have paid a reasonable fee but the way they've done it they will go the way of Geocities. The site has been unusable due to ads and scripts anyway and recently they installed anti-adblock crap. Fuck 'em! Luckily I had some of my stuff on Flickr. What I did have on Photofuckit is being moved to Imgur. No guarantee they won't do the same thing though.

Fortunately now I exclusively use iThings at home I was only using Flickr, because there is a direct link in iPhotos etc. to send stuff to Flickr whereas there was not for Poobucket.

Indeed. Hosting images for forums, blogs & fleabay was all anyone ever used it for. 'Oooh, let's go and browse Photobucket'. Said nobody. Ever.

This pisses me off, will have to replace a lot of images... I remember switching from Imageshack to Photobucket and I quite liked it. Meh.
