We too feed our dog raw meat usually chicken and turkey :thumbs: Necks ,gizzards, hearts and carcasses. We don't give him liver

A blast from the past :grin:

Read an article that for older dogs with joint problems fish such as sardines (in spring water ) is a good food to mix in with your kibble a few times a week for the omega 3 content :dunno:

At about 60 p a tin near me sounds like a good natural food to mix with a good commercial dry food :think:

they are cheap as any thing when in season from a good slab, though you might struggle to find a fishmonger and not a supermarket outlet counter

Any difference from tinned ones ? ...apart from the BPA debate , i only want a quick can to liven up a quality kibble and thought it might be of help for older dogs :thumbs:

lower nutrient content and poor texture id hazard a guess at,
but the runs happen in summer so the price outside the "glut" is much higher for fresh fish and only get fresh if it is fresh and not supermarket slab stuff
