My embarrassment was only lessened by the young Afghans who were beyond hopeless.We had a passing out parade in front of an audience, the Afghans just rolled around or jumped up at their owners, my Poppy was a good girl until we came to a halt in front of a woman with a cake on her knee. Turned out to be the Lady Mayor of Blackburn who was sponsoring the whole damn thing
